shift getting sloppier?

recently it has seemed like there is more play in my shift lever, and it seems like it might be easier to move side to side in the neutral position. when i bought the car the original owner had installed a kartboy shift lever and some bushings, im not sure which. so im going to poke around in there and check on some bolts. i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. if its not shifter related i guess ill have to start looking at trans/engine mounts huh? are there any bolts that are prone/known to loosen up over time?

I would guess that by making shift shorter, you're making the synchros want to mesh faster even when input is way faster.

I'll explain it in person the next time I see you at a meat... (Not mentioning any product manufacturer)

so by shift angle are you referring to the actual angle that the actual shift linkage makes? i guess what your saying is that the companies like kartboy extended the bottom portion of the lever (under the pivot point) to achieve a shorter shift, and in doing so made the linkage sit at a more extreme angle?

im super easy on the synchros i dont go banging gears all day, and i double clutch all my downshifts
