Shall I ditch my donut?????

I've recently upgraded to a set of 18" rims carrying 225/40/18 Ecsta MX.....but my question is this....if I get a flat tire, will putting on my donut spare wheel and driving home screw up my diff etc.. due to a difference in the rolling radius of the spare????

If I dump it it will save me some weight! (every bit counts huh?)

Glen.

I won't be good to drive on it but if I was you and got a flat I would get the car towed back home on a flatbed (thats if your not close to your place) and then go take the tire in to get plugged.

I ditched my donut over a year ago no problems so far *knock on wood*

i really doubt a 18" rim (17" in my case) will fit in the area made for a spare. i was kind of thinkin of sterofoam and cut it to fit the area. really light yet gives the support that it needs.
