Was this a black BRZ?
It's still too early to know for sure.
Brutal. Awful way to start the new season. Every run was frustrating. Finally felt back on the ball the first half of the last run, then spun it rather dramatically going into the back 1/3. Sigh....
I would love to blame the practically bald rear tires, lack of experience in the rain, and rusty skills since I missed slush season... but Gagan went and beat me by 1.5 seconds in my own damn car!!
Next week. Dry asphalt. It's on like Donkey Kong.

Btw anyone know what happed to the white Scion TC from Run 2 group? He ran once and then parked out by work station 5 for the next two turns before limping back to general parking on blinkers. He had 19" rims, bolt on turbo kit and some other HIN stuff...

It was a wild ride when it got real wet. I spent a little more than half the time correcting the car than moving it down the course.
Actually all those are valid reasons to have a tough time.
The rear tires def didn't help in the wet. Even on regular auto there was a lot of breakaway at the rear. I thought about running AUTO +, maybe I should have tired it.
Experience is what helps the most in the wet, so not having a lot hurts, but every race you get in the wet builds on that.
And missing a lot of time hurts. I felt really rusty on my first run.

the first run, i put the car in manual, 3 bars, vdc orange. i spun out near the last slalom before entering the pits. sucker snapped over real fast, i didn't expect it, and went backwards for a bit. 2nd, 3rd run, i changed it to auto -, and the times went down quite a bit. on 4th run, i changed it to auto, and time went down even more, but i wonder how much of it was familiarization of the track/car. i had quite a bit of understeer in some sections, but as soon i buried the throttle, i could feel the rear breaking out. i have 24f/22r sways, full stiff. very interesting day, had a lot of fun.

I have a suggestion. Well... not really a suggestion, but maybe an idea where we can compare times at events. Something self reported and on an honor system. It should be pretty easy to set-up a google document with it. Just throwing it out there...
I'll work on a general template.
Here's a general template. Left side is the results and relevant information. Right side is somewhere you can link the runs to your videos if you choose to do so. Feel free to play around with it.
