Quick newbie question. Been doing some light reading, would I enter into Novice - Street Modified if I have a 2.5 Hybrid Engine in my wrx, and I've only done one other Auto-X but it wasn't SCCA it was American AutoX?

Yup, sounds like Novice Street Modified. If you wanted, you could also run T2 Street Modified (street tire only) or regular Street Modified. Just remember to make sure you mark your car correctly, so if you are Novice Street Modified, you will mark your car (with tape, magnets, etc.) as "N SM" with your car number (determined at the event itself) on both sides of the car.

I have never done an autox but I'm interested. Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm actually free tmrw and would love to try it out.

06 sti. Stage 2. only suspension mods is coilovers.

 

You can check the rules against what you got. It gets pretty specific. If you just want to run for Fun, you can pick a higher class like SM or OSP which allow for most modifications.
