Service costs and recommendations in or near Oakland

I went to drop of my '05 WRX at a Subaru dealer for the first 15k and was quotes 2 1/2 hours of work and $255. This seems a bit excessive. I was hoping I could get a recommendation for someone in or around Oakland / Berkeley that does a good job to get the work done. Is a 15k just a oil change and inspection!?

15k isn't major. As you said, it is just a glorified oil change w/ inspection... you could change transmission oil and air filter but that is not called for until 30k. $250 sounds pretty expensive for what needs to be done according to Subaru.

LIC motorsports is worth the drive to Novato for major services.
