Anyone near Oakland have an engine crane?

Hey guys. I'm swapping my engine out tomorrow morning and I'd like to avoid renting another engine crane, as my budget is very limited. If you have one I can borrow for about a half hour, let me know. I'd definetley be available to return the favor if you need any work done on your car.

TIA
-Matt

Smile Wow!!

I think Adam would be hard pressed to get a motor out in half an hour...

Although in all seriousness...I hope someone comes through for you.

Bump...

Well, I have everything disconnected but 4 bell housing bolts, 3 fuel lines, and 2 motor mount bolts. In all honestly, that would take about 10 minutes to do, then the motor comes right out. Last time we took the motor out by hand... That was interesting. The engine isnt THAT heavy, but its very low and awkward to get ahold of... I'll probably just rent one, it's not that much. Just thought I'd check. Oh by the way I'm in Montclair, which is a nice hillsy part of Oakland, with cool roads. In case you guys are afraid of Oakland

places like kragen and pepboys usually have cranes for sale for around $100-120, the same as renting 3-4 times...
