I saw an 08, but some seem to come with slightly different styling? I've seen them before but this was the most plain jane looking car i'd even seen, I mean were talking worse than a hyundai way worse................I mean i've been a hater of the 08's for a while but never have I seen one that looked so downright shiesty. with styling cues from Suzuki/hyundai and hybird cars.......

I totally agree. I've seen it in some horrible beige/tan color, from the back it looks like a slope-shouldered hunchback and from the front all you see is scoop. The ONLY color it looks remotely good in is black, every other color shows the weakness of the lines and the lack of detail on the sides.

 

I just never thought i'd look some incredibly ordinary in the worst way. Turdddddddddddd

the funniest 08 I've seen was a silver outback. Silver body with slightly lighter silver to maintain that two-toneness

 

i don't know i kinda like the 08' sti and the hatch's but i think its the sedan that looks like the new focus. and the dual tip exhaust just kills it.

Yeh, I saw a couple of stock 08's and seriously, they make me embarrassed that I'm driving a Subaru. They look horrible! The Altezza lights, small wheels, hatchback, boxy look, ehhh. It lost all of it's "mean" type of looks and now is more of a "grocery getter" car. The 08 STi's are better since they have bigger wheels/wider/wing/etc., but the Hatchback still is a little ehh.. The front design is nice though, They could of made it look hella mean, but messed up.

Does anyone know if they will keep this design for 09 too and then switch it in 10? Or would they switch the design next year from all the hating thats going on?

 

ok, I think people are forgetting what Subaru said their goal was.....to go for the more mainstream market rather than the car enthusiast market. That is exactly what they have done, no surprise.

 

All Imprezas are ugly and boring. I don't know what world you guys live in.

A lot of people say the new chassis and various changes in the way it drives is improved. It's sorta like saying, "yea, that girl/guy's ugly, but at least she/he has personality."
