Hey guys, saw this over at slickdeals..
http://forums.***************/showth...ghlight=subaru
Looks like people are getting some crazy deals on the STi. If you're looking to buy one, maybe use this to haggle your price. It's saying SoA will give 6k to the dealership if they sell a # of STi's. GL.
Thread didn't list any of the Nor Cal dealerships but the dealerships should have the same deal, give it a shot and let us know.

It's actually UP TO 5k, retroactive to the first vehicle sold.
It's a tiered program to help sell down the STI's in inventory. Not sure that they're going to take money out of their own pocket to help you pay for YOUR car. Seems as they've made the bar high enough that only the top few salesmen will be able to achieve such a stunning success.

Yup, heard about this last week. $5K off MSRP and 0% for 63 months with good credit.
I wish they had this 10 months ago when I got my Mazda. I could have jumped all over that.

From my understanding this price discount is given directly to dealers from Subaru based on volume. So it's up to the dealer on how many STIs they buy that will dictate the discounted price. Then it's up to the dealer on how much of that price cut they want to extend to the customer.
So it could range between $5K to $7K if I've read all of this properly. It's a huge thread on nazioc news and rumors section.
