Thumbs down

Those Ospreys are ****ing death traps. I remember back in spring of 2000, one of them crashed during a training exercise and killed 19 Marines from Pendleton.

I do remember about that. They have fixed all kinks and they work just fine now. Crazy amount of horsepower they put out.

I was going to say, "did it crash there?"

I have a friend that worked on "fixing" those. Suffice it to say, I would still not fly in one of those if you payed me.

I think I read an article somewhere sometime ago that claimed that the Osprey's design was fundamentally flawed or something?

Still cool to see one in person though

by it's design of a dual engine/propulsion, if one side goes terminal...

so does the entire aircraft.

and unlike a helo, it cannot autorotate.

and unlike a fixed wing aircraft, it cant glide down... IIRC.
