Satellite TV
Satellite TV
Anybody have satellite tv like Direct TV or Dish Network? What are the pro's of satellite over cable besides the larger channel selection? What are the con's?
Does satellite tv include regional sports programming like comcast sports bay area? Just mainly want to know if it will have a channel for Giants/Warriors/Sharks/A's/etc games.

Get AT&T U-verse.
Dish is cool but it has it's issues. I HAVE to run dish because I'm out in BFE and can't get anything wire based. It says weather does not effect it but precipitation does.... what is Rain exactly?
Heavy rain, fog, snow, wind all effect your reception and some stations are just flat out shaky. If the satellites are more east coast or what not they tend to have issues and go out. If it's a lower quality channel. Etc. Hell I am having tons of reception issues right now. You have to have the dish realigned every now and again or call and have the satellites find it again... etc etc etc.
Go wire based.
Get U-verse. It's the newest and best right now and you can bundle it with your phone and internet and all that isht.

Just holler at me if you need anything
I've had DirecTV for the last 5 years. I used to have Comcast, but I got fed up with having to re-negotiate the deal every 3 month to stop the prices skyrocketing. I also didn't like the way they set up the packages.
U-Verse isn't supported in my area yet.
I did? Must be confusing me for someone else cause I don't even remember saying it
You sure it wasn't for DSL?

Nobody answered my question on the regional sports programming yet. Does satellite (Direct TV or Dish) carry the Giants/Warriors/A's/Sharks games (i.e comcast sports net bay area)? Particularly in San Francisco.
