Santa Cruz local passes after a night of drinking

Kid just turned friggin 21 years old.

I know the guy that manages this band and I've met this kid before. Good kid.

Just showing that it doesn't matter how old you are, we're all at risk. Think about it next time you go out binge drinking.

Alcohol is a dangerous drug... No matter how legal it is, it's still poison that you put in your body, and believe or not, poison can kill you.

RIP, shame that he lost his life at such a young age. I've known a few people that have died from the same thing... Alcohol is no joke.

PS: I hate how people deny that alcohol is a drug. In fact, it's one of the most dangerous drugs that you can use. It doesn't only destroy you, it destroys those around you as well.

Be safe.

i want a bumper sticker that says "alcoholism, my antidrug"

but on a serious note that really sucks... i didn't know him or hear of the band until now, but that sucks... people think getting "****ed up" is supposed to be great.. but its really not.. control is necessary and most of us know that..

PS, their band is fricken SICK.

yeah they were starting to catch some breaks too.

Alcohol really is a truly dangerous thing to be toying with. I've seen it end lives and seen lives that might as well have been ended by it. But still I drink it....go friggin figure, right.

The benefit show is a good cause. I'll get more info on it as soon as I can.

I always notice these stories. A friend of mine died a few years ago from alcohol poisoning. Definitely one of those things you never expect to happen.

My friend's parents now spend their time trying to educate others of the dangers of binge drinking. If something good could possibly come from something like this, this would be it.

Should have them contact and get involved with this benefit show.

it really is an overlooked issue.

I've had to take a few people to the hospital over the years and I'm convinced should have gone myself a time or two. Fortunately my wife is an MA and flooded me with water, advil and vitamins.

man thats sad to hear. There can never be enough education on this, there are people turning 21 everyday so its bound to happen once and a while. Youd think there would be a friend to say stop drinking? Thats the main way this will be stopped

Luckily alcohol is too expensive for me to drink more than 5
