yeah, what he said. i just followed along. matte black is hot. i look forward to one day owning a matte black sti. or maybe making both my cars matte black. i.e. forester and sti, which are definitely my future cars (i hope).

 

Really? I think it looks like a satin black due to the sheen on the paint, but obviously the hood, roof, and rear wing are still the original glossy Subaru black.

 

What's the difference between matte and flat?

 

matte is more of a semi gloss where it still picks up some of the light around it (like above you can see muted reflections)

Flat black will reflect no light, and has no sheen. It looks a lot more like primer then paint, but when done well looks really awesome.
