Local Source for STi rear wheel bearings?

Any good Bay area sources for rear wheel bearings for an 04 STi? I hate to go to the stealership or wait for better priced parts from online Subaru dealers. Why the local stealerships won't charge what the online ones do always confused me. Looking for

Have you tried any large chain auto stores like kragen? They can normally find one for you at one of their stores. When we did my buddy's front bearings for his wrx we just went to kragen and they told us which store had one and we drove to the store to pick it up. We paid around $50 for one.

Are you going to press it into the hub yourself?

This problem is always in the back of my mind - what causes this issue on the 04 STi? Lots of hard braking/getting it hot? How common is it?

Maybe its just the 04 hub being a little less beefy than the 05s? My wheel bearing are starting to get a little noisy, but I haven't noticed any decrease in performance since they started.

I think it is the 60 track days on the rear bearings. The 04 fronts were changed out to the 6Gun 05+ STi kit a long time ago. I'm not considering this a failure by any stretch of the imagination. It is just one of the wear items when you use the car the way it is meant to be enjoyed. "Take it to the track and enjoy the hell out it."

And yes I plan on doing the pressing myself. As Jeff Spicolli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High once said, "Dude, I can fix it. My dad is a television repair man, he has an ultimate set of tools." Or something like that.

During the 25hr race at T hill , Moike and the GST team "borrowed" the RR wheel bearing housing/hub from my car as The Ls had failed.
After the race, the returned/re-installed it back onto my car.

It failed a short time later.

That is why you never take anything to the races that could be used for a parts car. But then again if GST asked for it, I probably give it to them.
