Also no I pulled the LS1 out and went with a LS2 445 and added a direct port N2O kit that will spray up to a 400 shot... The car will be able to dive on the street too but it wont pass certin things if you know what I mean That is where the hook up comes in play lol...
Yeah, that's him. Haven't seen that car in person in 10 years, but it looks like a monster on that video!! Your "certain things" problem is probably more of a visual problem I would imagine, I've heard many LSx motors getting some pretty nasty cams to actually pass the sniff test with the proper tune.

Where did you pick up the LS2? I'm looking for something like that for my 72 Chevelle. Need to start spending money on it to get it back on the street.

My sponsor CMS down in so cal is the one that got the block and is doing the build on it.... We even went with a LS7 top end on this build... The heads are some badass monsters!!!! The shift points are going to be set at 7500 to 7800 RPMS and will also still make power past that... The numbers are set for 600 plus at the wheels on motor and with a big shot we are looking at close to a 1000 HP to the wheels... Fingers crossed..

Are you going to go A4 or M6 with your LS2 for your Chevelle???? My sponsor can hook you up on a sick built motor if you want... Just shoot me a pm and I will see what I can do...

I am still a ways from that part. I bought the car 3 years ago, turned out to be the traditional rust/bondo bucker. I have replaced both quarter panels, inner/outer wheel wells, roof (originally a vinyl top) and getting ready to order new fenders in the next couple weeks. I want to pro street it having the best of both worlds, today's technology with yesterdays looks! I would be happy making 500hp with it someday coupled to a D&D 6 speed. Can run ultra low gearing and still run it on the freeway with the .5 final gear ratio. Hoping to have the body work and paint done this fall/winter. It's just hard juggling projects, would have been a lot further with it by now if I didn't dump all that money into my 6MT swap for my subie this year. I'll hit you up for some pointers when the time is right, if you take that beast to the track around here, shoot me a PM, I'll come watch and drool!

You probably already know this, they will check for SFi approved helmets if they know you are faster than 13.99. Just tell them you are going to run a 15 second 1/4 mile and then they won't inspect your helmet. Then just put it on when you run and you should be good to go.

You going from San Jose? Probably going a different route than I am, I have a couple people that we will most likely roll in together going down I-80 from fairfield/vacaville. Anyone wanting to leave around 3:30 is welcome to roll with us.

Wow this is good to know. Infineon hasn't checked my motorcylce helment in the couple times i've been there. Sounds like sac is a tad more strict.
