run the proper registered license plate on the car and you wont have any issues. Please dont put those JDM "ej20" plates cause those are just rice.

1.) Put on your Japanese plates.
2.) Ship car to Japan (make sure you ship it to the correct prefecture/ward as denoted on your license plate).
3.) Fly to Japan (preferably to the same location as where your car went).
4.) Pay registration fees.
5.) Pay for and undergo vehicle inspection.
6.) Congratulations, you can now legally run Japanese license plates.

Just put on your 2 issued license plates..one on the front bumper and one on the back bumper. As for you JDM plate...I don't see why you can't put it on the passenger side between dash and front window, unless there's a rule against that? I'm not sure.

I've seen people run euro style front plates with their actual plate number, lol. Have no idea if that is legal though.

...or at least move outside CA.
In some states front license plate is not required so you can rock that JDM plate every day...all day long

Mount your JDM plate facing forward, with your issued plate back to back with it. So you have both on at the same time, with only one showing. Totally legal.

It probably is but I've seen multiple police look at me and haven't stopped me. I saw it on that light grey sti with fender flares and I had to try it. I think it looks cool. Technically I did modify it but it's still there. lol

Opinions on how it looks?
