Red face Rules? Where we're going, we don't any rules...

Just kidding, of course we do. But I think we all basically know them already. If you must swear, do it creatively so people are thinking too hard about what word that actually is instead of getting all pis... upset. If something you read makes you angry, don't reply until you've cooled off. Treat everyone like they are your friend, until they prove they aren't. And when that happens, just move on to another thread. Be excellent to each other. And PARTY ON, DUDES!

Chris is right. There needs to be rules that have to be set otherwise there will be total chaos. But then again with rules. People will always find a way to stretch them to the limit.

My opinion on swearing.

1. Little swearing never killed anybody.
2. No swearing in subject lines.

NOTE: The reason for that is not because I don't want to see swearwords there, but because I want th subject line to carry a meaning that will tell people whats inside. Like you don't see books or movies names contain profanity, while you could possibly find some inside.

3. Excessive swearing is not good.

NOTE: No one will be deleting or editing the posts. In case they are too messy and dirty, they will be moved to RECYCLE BIN where people can still see them and respond to them. Same goes with any other "wild" posts. That way I am not censoring anyone, but rather promote swear free environment. After all, who would want to have their posts be in garbage. Maybe I will even make special titles for people that like the "bin".

NOTE TO NOTE: Only double posts will be deleted. I doubt any one has a problem with that.

4. X-Posting. Depends on its kind. Post a FS add in Classifieds and your Regional Forum is ok. Generally, posting somthing somewhere and posting the same in the regional forum or posting a link to it, is fine with me. That doesn't hurt anyone.

Need to think more...

Any suggestions?

What do you guys think so far of the "Rules"? They are not rules, really. More like a gentlemen's agreement.

Alex,

You should just have an area of the board that has rules and slowly add to it as time goes on. That way everyone can see it and not just the Bay Area Peeps. Just a suggestion.

Excellent. The more tolerant we are of each other... the less intolerant we will be. Got that guys and gals? Nobody in here can hurt anybody or anything, so live and let live. I agree that it matters less what we say than how we say it- proper forums for posts, deleting doubles, etc. And how about we just move new, misplaced threads to where they belong instead of deleting them? Does that make sense here, because I think it would under the old 'rules'. No contracts, just let's all agree to play well with others. If you can't, then why would you want to be here?
