Rotor Question

Rotor Question

is there any visual signs that i need to change my rotors??? i think my rotors might be warped but im not sure of it...and i dont want to fork out the money to buy new ones if i dont need to..

if theyre warped you will notice under hard braking, especially if you let go of the wheel

if you cant feel it that way, its probly not worth it to swap them, unless youre a hardcore racer

you could always have them turned but you might as well buy new ones since im not sure how much turning would be.

mine are warped

Look for grooves or heat spots also. Those are signs that it's time to change rotors.

1) look for visible grooves
2) look for a significant rust ridge thingy
3) use micrometer to measure the thickness in rotor in several different places (for warping)
4) just resurface them anyways and see what happens.. worst that will happen if ur rotors were fine is lose like .01" or somethin lol

yeah when im driving on the free way and i brake hard i feel my steering wheel vibrate....ill have to take a look at my rotors today...thanks
