So I was transferring my Yakima roof rack from my IS300 to the subie, and I couldn't get it to fit for the longest time. I got pissed and just ended up taking in to a local rack shop (rack solid in SOMA) and paying the dude to put it on for me. Turns out I wasn't crazy, the measurements from Yakima were wrong for the front (a little too wide).

Anyway, I ended up hanging around and saw that the dude had an STi Parked inside the shop. Turns out this dude has done crazy work on that car, built motor and all, running on E85.

Bottom line, if your rack doesn't fit, don't trust the Yakima measurements, and if you need rack stuff, check that dude's shop out. Has pretty much everything in stock, and is a fellow subie dude. I wish it had been here last year when I bought my snowboard attachment because the only place that had it was another rack solid store, which was hella far away.
