Anyone interested in going to Alpine Meadows with me this Sunday? Its closing day and my gf was suppose to go with me, but she's sick so I have an extra ticket. Wouldn't charge for the ticket but we would have to take your car. Reliability on my car isn't really there yet for a drive of that distance.

Sweet! Good to see some other snowboarders here. I need a new pair of pants, but Oakland does seem a bit far for that. Thanks for the heads up though.

Here is what I can't wait to get. This will be the next board in my quiver. Everything I have read about the Never Summer Raptor rocks. I do not think I will be disappointed.

Who drives a Subaru and doesn't snowboard or ski?
Better question: Who drives a Subaru to NOT go to the snow?
Just out of curiousity....
WTF do you own a Subaru for???

Yes, there are people who drive an all wheel drive car and don't go to the snow, just like the plethora of people that drive 4 wheel drive SUV's, but don't go off roading, haul trailers, or go to the snow.

Sure, a lot of Subarus see snow, but that wasn't really the point in the first place, it was making a comment that I was happy to see others on here that like to talk snow.

But back to the point of the thread...

What mountains do you all frequent for your snow escapes?

Hint: see my "Location" for my fave!

Oh, and NS rules! I've always wanted to demo one of their decks, but haven't had a chance yet.

No prob, fellow shreadheads! As an added bonus tip, check out the yelp reviews here, so you have a better idea what to expect... esp. if you've never gone to a sample sale for any retailer. And you could always call the Burton Showroom if you have any questions.

Also, don't forget about http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/. They've always got killer deals!

UPDATE: Sierra Snowboard In Talks To Sell To The House

Hopefully this isn't true. I usually buy my stuff from them when they have the 50-70% off sales at the end of the season, and not to mention stopping by the store once in a while after a day of boarding to check out some of the products in person.

Nice, I have been to Kirkwood 3 times in my life. First was maybe my 3rd or 4th day ever snowboarding, so I couldn't experience much of it. The second time was when I got a free pass, but I couldn't get up there till the last day of the season a couple years ago, but then I went last winter right on a day when it dumped 20 inches of fresh. Wow, that mountain is made for awesomeness! I need to go back again.

Actually, I have never ridden an NS before, but I have heard so many good things about the company and the boards that I figured it safe to just go for it.
