Went up to Bear Valley yesterday and it was great up there. No lines at the lifts, would say there were about 200 people there all day at the max, snow was great and the weather couldn't be better. Like others have said, next week is suppose to bring a ton of snow. My dad was told by a BV worker that they're expecting 5-12ft of snow from Sunday to mid-week. Might be going up to North Star Monday, don'on t feel like getting stuck on the road though haha

Well...my bro's been staying with one of his bro's in Truckee and they rode Squaw on Monday (limited lifts due to wind) and Northstar today. No lines, no waiting, powder all day!
They're riding tomorrow...more than likely Northstar again...I'm gonna brave the storm and drive right in! Going solo so if you're a strong rider and don't mind crazy weather hit me up...I'm gonna leave about 5:30 ~ 6:am from Roseville and see how far I can get...maybe I'll only get to Sugar, Donner, or Boreal...but I'm riding powder regardless if the roads are open! But the plan is Northstar unless the wind dies down...then its Squaw for sure!
Good day to try out the Gore-Tex AK gear from Christmas

I'm heading up to the North Shore on early Fri morning, then coming back after getting our slide on Sat! I may pack my snorkel since they'll easily reach the 6+ feet of fresh from this series of storms. Even though last week's predictions had 10+ ft in their forecasts, I think I can "manage" just fin w/ "only" 6 ft or so. I'm just glad the Bay finally got more rain & our mtn playgrounds got more pow!

Drive home was top 3 worst storm driving ever for me...and that's saying something with 19 years of boarding under my belt. Road was closed for awhile so just grabbed some Taco Bell and waited.
One dude spun out in front of me, caught the guardrail, bounced back into the slow lane and kept going!!!! caught me a bit off guard but no spin for Lowball.
Now I'm just sore as hell from all that pow!!!!
P.S. 3L Gore-Tex is sick!!!!
