yesterday was frakkin awesome at Bear Valley.. I didnt want to risk the "whiteout" conditions up at Tahoe, but man it was pure powder all day non-stop! at one point i stepped knee deep in it, took another step and was chest deep, 45 min later i finally got back to the cabin hah! When we left there was around 4-5 inches on top of the hood of the car..
im thinking of headin back there or Tahoe prolly early next month, snow's stackin up fast..

Nice! Thanks for those updates! Definitely what we like to hear!
I'm hoping to get a day trip on Sat (19 Dec) to either Sugar Bowl or Kirkwood. I need to feel that immediate 1st-day-of-the-season leg burn, then subsequent 2-day soreness from going overboard!
Oh, and fyi: I just got this email earlier today...

Iirc, there is someone on these forums that works for Burton's NorCal rep.

Yeah, but that was about a dozen years ago when they were in Palo Alto, so I don't really recall how wide the selection was. I did pick up my Custom & some gloves back then. And I think my cousin's boyfriend got his Supermodel & bindings then, too. She may even have gotten some of her gear as well (kinda foggy on that one). If you're w/in reasonable driving distance, it's probably worth a look.

I've been to a couple of Sessions Sample Sales. You have to act fast to get the goods, but it was well worth it. I'm sure a Burton event would be even crazier. You needed an employee invite to get into the Sessions sale.

Hey im actually on the same page as you...im returning back to cali from philippines tmrw night..flight is tonight...and I plan on heading up to tahoe this friday morning...let me know which resort you head up to? i got one or two buddies comin along as well....we are thinking northstar, or Seirra. LMK
Anyone down to roll up w/ me to hit up Sugar Bowl tomorrow? Tix are only $25 as a fundraiser for North Tahoe area schools. I originally had 2 folks coming along, but they're both No-Go's now.
I rather not roll solo, esp. for my 1st day of the season. I can meet up w/ anyone points east of Vallejo along I-80.
C'mon... ya know you wanna get your slide on, too!

Sessions is now on the east coast and ships stuff to Scotts Valley to sell in a big open warehouse. no more crazy lines or massive amounts of ppl. I went there a few months ago and i was in a 60,000 sq ft building full of clothes with like 5 other ppl
I might be at Northstar to whom it concerns

Haha, funniest thing my brother has ever said, and I quote
''After the first time I went snowboarding, my forearms felt like I jacked off with both arms for 3 hours''

After getting my "warm-up" at Sugar Bowl on Sat, I'm ready to take advantage of the freshies coming down today & tonite. The snow has been holding up well since the major pukage we got a couple weeks back. Even though I didn't get to take a run or two w/ johndabrit (we got separated immediately after we met up.
), I'm sure he & his buds had a blast, too. Anyway, I'm gonna take my nephew & his best friend over to Dodge Ridge for the day tomorrow! There should be about 8"-12" to slash around!!! Woohoo!
