Yep, Atwater in Merced County. 45 minutes north of Fresno. Potential site for ProSolo and Nationals, and Fresno Chapter SCCA events, etc.

Oh, lol, I thought Riverside, CA was where the park was going to be, but if it's in Merced, then thats definitely great news for the Bay Area. Now we have 4 tracks thats 1-2 hours away.

Actually, Fresno Chapter is re-negotiating with Castle management. We may have the site for the rest of the year.

If you do, let us (SFR) know.

RMP will be cool if and when it ever gets off the ground. At least the most recent press release says "Ground breaking will likely occur some time after midyear 2007". With luck we could convince them to let us RallyX on their 1200 acres of dirt!

btw, 3rd place in RS4 for the one event you attended doesn't count as slaying; especially when the two cars ahead of you were STis. I'm not saying it's not possible, just that it didn't happen this year.

well my thunderhill results were my worst for that. I prefer the Altamont or Antioch results in my moms 2.2L OBS, i was talking more about autoX and the kart track for the "slaying" just cause its tighter and theres more competition, thats why i havent done a track day and why most of us dont bother with drag racing.

but ive been to three rallyXs,
two in my moms 2.2L OBS and the last
Thunderhill in my 2.5RS
It kinda sucks now that theres no more dirt to play in, thats the whole reason i bought my RS. i have more fun in my miata in the mtns

I think we could convince them to use theyre land as long as we arent getting in the way. thats like an extra $2000 in their pocket per day.
