i volunteered to be a COMM worker.
i got assigned, i think, middle of the HUNGRY VALLEY stage as a relay comm...
they tell me i'll be in the middle of all the actions.
they say i work the 2 stages in HV and i'm free for the rest of the event... plus i get passes for just about everything else... cool...

If you're not racing, then voluteering is definately the way to go. You get crazy access plus you're helping to make the whole thing happen...

i just remember HV with a long paved road to the ranger station where you pay. then it's a dirt road to a campground to the south. and that where a mini obstacle course is for 4wd vehicles...
