Why? What was wrong with her... She DID look kinda insane.

Oh, by the way, GREAT car. Super fun drive. The handling was great, the power was good, the auto stick was cool, but the interior was BEAUTIFUL. I want a wagon...

i was braking about half way in the turn and want to gas the other half. out of no where i didn't feel any power, i thought the car die or something and the car started to understeer.
She then told me (after the car stop) she shift to N and she gave me a bunch of BS......

The other guy instructor really didn't care so just stay the hell away from the women instructor.

The turbo wagon was a STICK! Holey mother that car was awesome. I got it completely sideways in the "slick" section and then bounced the rev limiter twice before i realized that I had the wheels spinning. That car was unbelieveable! I didn't like the turbo lag much, but with all of the aftermarket parts that are available for turbo subarus now, when that car is tuned it should be an amazing ride.

The car that really impressed me was actually the 3.0R sedan. That engine just seemed so smooth. and everything felt real nice and torquey - especially impressive since it was an automatic.

In the Volvo sedan after the "ABS" test section, I got the car stopped and then stepped on the gas and the transmission gave a loud clunk and then went into gear. I grinned at the instructor girl and she said - "Hey, it happens."

If you get a chance have the woman with the brown hair drive you around for a lap - supposedly she is a Porche racer.

I took pics of the pretty thing in the tent. Hmmm, should I post them?

Question

What?

They must have changed out cars and courses...

They were all automatic GT's for us (at 12:00). 3.0R? What ABS section?

there are two different events going on there - the one where you drive the Subaru, Volvo, and BMW and then there is also the "Outback Challenge" where you drive all the trimlines of the Legacy and compare it with these god awful volvos, although the acceleration on the sedan was quite surprising.

Hey Andy,

Thanks for all the info. So where is the "Outback Challenge"? Can you do both events?

Hi Jane!

I am not sure that you can do both events or not. The registration booth is the same for both, so i am sure that it wouldn't hurt to ask. I do wish that i would have time to beat up on a 3 series though.

It was amazing to feel the ride difference between the Legacy and the Volvo. Subaru has come a long way and this car really shows the quality of the brand.

I'm there with a friend at 10am tomorrow. Can't rock the BAIC shirt because I wore it today. Will probably be in the Scoobymods one.
