there are over a billion people in india and china who are the best of the best, yet they have little to nothing to show for their efforts.

I think he was more curious than anything..not saying that it WOULD happen.
I think it's an interesting question myself. I'll let you know after the reunion.
We had some crazy smart cats at my school. Couple kids with perfect SAT's and some with insanely high ones. Shoot I was WASTED when I took mine..no joke. And I got an 1160. Sober I think I could have gotten closer to 1300. I was not a good grades kid either. We had a couple kids get OVER $100k scholarships to a couple different schools. One kid went to stanford on a scholarship for grades and golf I think. He's doing well. I ran into him on BART.
I know some of the smart kids did well for themselves. And I know some of the dumb ones didn't. But I'm sure there are some of both that did better or worse than they could have.
