Does anybody know how to tighten a new axle boot clamp? There are two types of axle boot clamps. The one that is similar to a metal zip tie, with notches and holes, kinda like how a belt works. Then there is one that is basically a metal boot clamp that you slide through a "hole" and bend the metal band back and that is how it's tightened. I can't seem to figure out how to properly tighten the second kind of boot clamp(the metal band one).
I bought a crimping tool, but I still don't know how to use it...

I found that for reference but it wasn't much help for installing a new clamp. It was pretty helpful on how to get loosen the old clamp though.

Also for people who are thinking about buying an aftermarket axle, turn in concepts sells and uses aftermarket axles made from empi and have had good results from them for their cars.

"DriveTech American offers a wide range of new constant valocity axles, covering most US cars and trucks.
DTA axles are reverse-engineered to match the OEM design.
It is manufactured using high grade steel with proper heat treatment to ensure longer service life.
All DTA axles are stamped with identification information in the middle shaft for quality tracking."
"All CV axles are QS 9000 and ISO9002 certified"
I do not believe these are the same items found at O'Reilly's (formerly Kragen's) or Autozone as it looks like those 2 companies sell Master Pro & Duralast products and not DTA products.
