i have the mio 310x from last year. still pretty good for daily use. but I would like to have just a bit more on the poi, text-to-speech, and maybe even traffic update. but i guess you can't expect those on a $200 unit. I think it went down even more after I got mine...

well then our 4WD must be for extra understeer and lower gas mileage haha

its nice when you want to go exploring, i mean you might as well get a GPS with more labeled roads than others, i've seen some that only have basic named roads while others have roads, trails, logging roads everything.

Pops got the 650, haven't played with it, but it looks cool =p. Anyone have estimates on the yearly updates for the maps?

Best bet = Garmin Nuvi 360 @ amazon.com for $333 - SiRF chip; text-to-speech; and bluetooth; no tax + free shipping

Good bet = Garmin Nuvi 260 @ amazon.com for $287 - text-to-speech; no tax + free shipping

Or the Garmin Nuvi 650 for $299 (if you can still find it). It has text-to-speech and a wider screen than the 360, but it does not have bluetooth.
