Rearview mirror fell off
Anybody know how to remove the base plate from the mirror? There's a metal clip inside the base plate that's preventing me from removing it. Having a tough time taking it out.

looks like the previous owner glued it so that it's all stuck together now. Usually they slide apart rather effortlessly. I'd just start chipping away at the glue with a tool of some sort. gl

I'm the original owner and this is the first time it has fallen off. The top is all one piece.
Edit: Finally was able to remove it.

Don't feel bad, I believe the auto dimming mirror is installed after the car gets here.
Is it any better? NOPE! BRZ's review mirror fell clean off after 2 months of ownership, operating dem screw drivers ain't easy apparently.

if you can, remove the torx bolts and the screw, then there's a metal piece that has a U shape on the top and flat on the bottom, slide that down and then you'll be able to push in the sides and take the metal clip out
