I wonder how fast a WRC tech crew can do this... Weren't they able to change a tranny faster than the Pirelli girls could choose an outfit?

ok how bout this. it was an air cooled engine. with a mg style battery. the one where it is kept inside he car in the back seat area.

that would eliminate the need for radiator and explain why the battery is missing. it is way old probably no ac or anything.

and im not sure that you could see whether they hooked up a throttle or not.

they did hook a couple things up there at the very end.

Worlds fastest engine change
Car they where working on was modified within the rules for this particular event (record) to make the engine and hood more easily removable.
(Check out the home page for the latest fast cars, sports cars, sedans, and race car videos updated daily.)

so it says right there they did something.

I think it is real... but like Irish said... It is right on the site...

So it is real, but the rigged it up so the motor would just pop out and pop another one in...

engine mounts??

fuel??

battery?

axles??

i think the had another engine within the vehicle, maybe in the rear.. cause this engine wouldnt stay still without the mounts bolted... puls.. no axles means no movement.

i think they had another motor in the car, im saying in the rear of the car..
