READ-law enforcement update
in the past two weeks i've been pulled over like 4 times, each time for front window tint -- which then has led to an under the hood inspection each time. Luckily my car is all stock, aside for some suspension upgrades.
It's worth noting that previous to the past couple weeks i had not been pulled over even a single time for my window tint in over a year of having it.

Since they are pulling Subaru's over and I'm sure other imports with even a hint of a slighty modified exhaust, but what about the idiots with the SUV's and Trucks running dual exhausts out the back . If I'm being stopped and told that modifying my muffler is illegal, I want these other jackasses stopped for the same reason. But they almost never are.

^Seriously. How many trucks are out there running around with ridiculously illegal exhaust? It's a joke that none of these guys EVER get pulled over for modified exhaust yet small little imports getting decent gas mileage get reamed for it day in and day out.

Funny, this was exactly what the guy in the 92 Mustang told me. You know, the one with open headers. He wanted to make sure people know he was there, for, um, safety reasons.

watch your backs out there.this weekend is going to be bad.2 of my own deputies pulled me over for my exhaust.after talking with them i had found out i was the 10th person in the last hour.2 of which had been harleys.
People just don't get it.... That doesn't fix the smell. I can smell a catless car a ways back and it's usually pretty easy to spot visually who it is. It's just a good thing most cops know nothing about cars I guess because it's so very easy to spot catless cars - even my wife points it out sometimes. Either way, there is no point at all whatsoever in running catless.

Agreed. I used to have a hi flow cat but it still smelled and was leaving hp on the table. I swapped it for a race pipe. Looking back, I think the only benefit was the cat kept the sound down a bit...
I see. Interesting.

like my Chevy 2500hd with a Borla exhaust, no cats and headers.... cops don't look at the car at all and it puts most Subaru's to shame on how loud it is
