it aint... i have 2 2wd short course trucks. 1 4wd sct.

i can go all out right before a turn, brake... apex then power out. with a 2wd you need more car control...

screw that... lol...

i've had it with nitro. i had 2 and i could NOT for life of me to keep them running consistantly. i spent $$$ on glow plugs, car box starters, etc...

finally went with a revo thinking the onboard starter, etc would be easier... it was for a while then the same symptom of not being to consistantly starting and keep it running.

with the gas truck... i put unleaded. prime the carb. set the choke. give it a couple tugs. reset the choke and it starts right up. sometimes i get too tired running like 30 minute plus on one gas tank... lol...

My last car was an RC/10 with foam tires - but I really wanted a "Turbo Optima Mid" if I remember that right. Before that I had a Grasshopper. I think I am now dated. Someone stole my whole RC/10 setup when I was in school, right from my dorm room as well.
i had a cloned turbo optima, then a real optima, then a lazer... i missed those guys...

Son of a switchback! Do you have a hill that would accommodate this type of track? Sick track but they need a treehouse or ewok bridges so they don't have to run around so much haha.

This one is alright too.

That looks really funny with them chasing the cars around.. Not sure why. Nothing that cool near my place - that looks like one of the places I used to bike, Water Dog in Belmont.

Mmmmm... Car control... Sounds fun. Do you want to sell one of the 2WD trucks?? With mine in the past I found "challenging" more fun and got bored with the AWD cars since they were too good. Heh..

heck no!!!!

If you're familiar with real size short course off road racing there are 3 primary classes.

1. Pro-lites: 2wd, minimal suspension travel, less then 500 hp.

2. Pro 2: 2wd, lots of suspension travel and close to 900 hp.

3. Pro 4: same as Pro 2 except 4wd.

So that is my racing team. All share the same paint job/scheme... Well as close as I could get them ...

Then, for baja desert off road racing I have the 1/5 scale truck also painted in the same scheme...

The first 3 are 1/10 Scale.

Fortunately in the RC racing world, they also have classes similar.

The slash spec class means you race with whatever the truck came in with the exception of swapping out a better radio system.

The open class 2wd mean any 2wd truck with any mods and they kinda limit motor due to people can't really control them if they are too fast

and finally open class 4wd... Same as open class 2wd but you can install a
slighty bigger motor due to the additional weight.

I have the Losi Micro Rally 1/24th scale with stock every and Lipo batteries... it goes about 25 and is AWD. It was $109.00 RTR plus the lipo packs... Boss Robot in Berkeley has a bunch in stock.

I also have the mini Revo which is also AWD and goes about 50 out of the box. Running Lipos on that... it's insanity....

RC is rad.
