its not really a rc car made for drifting.... its all in the tires that makes the RC do it

I'm getting my Nitro RC car set up for drift soon. A few of my other buddies got them too, so we're all going to have some fun on the weekend just playing around with our RC cars. It's good wholesome fun

Fixed

I drive one. Pretty easy if you have a set of 4 extra shocks and some PVC "tires". It's just getting full control of the car all the way around the corner that's hard.

It was fun for about a week then it just got boring. I think it would be more fun it you had a group of people and a nice track I lacked both of these.

many people tried to make their nitro rc cars to drift like the electric rc cars with those drift tires w/ plastic rings, but the nitro cars seems to have too much power. the rings just get blown off. You should also get those shocks on the yoks because they allow proper weight transfer.

Yup, been doing it for a couple of years now, at one point I had 5 of them, my and my brothers/friends would have a blast with them setting up different courses ect. The best car for it that i have found yet is the AE TC4, or the HPI Pro 4. Check those out.
