Random Question about cutches
Hey guys just had a random question, so im about to grab a new clutch for my 03 bugeye, i was wondering if getting a new clutch will completely change up the fell of the clutch in a sense, longer or shorter pull, different release point of and things like that? will getting a new clutch change all of those things and now you have a completely different feel? or can you get the same clutch and it stays the same? or does even getting the same clutch feel different?

The clutch feel could vary depending on what kind of driving has been done on the current clutch and just how trashed it may be compared to a new one of the same brand / style. If you switch from an organic to a different type of clutch that could play a larger difference in the clutch feel.
Honestly, any time something new is installed for a wear item like the clutch people tend to say they notice a difference, but part of that could be from fresh components like an upgraded stainless steel line and fresh fluid in the system compared to worn out rubber lines and old fluid.

It will feel different.
As a clutch wears, the bite point on the pedal moves. The pressure plate will also be in a different area of movement to disengage. Overtime the amount of pressure needed on the pedal and where the pedal is when the clutch engages moves. But the movement is subtle and not really noticeable if you drive the car everyday.
Replacing the clutch set everything back to the "new" pressure and point and will be noticeably different.
