ran over a big piece of metal on the freeway

on thursday, i ran over a big piece of meta on the freeway, and my tire kicked it up underneath my car. this morning i was listening to my car and heard what sounded like a exhaust leak. i looked under the car, and notice that the flex joint on the exhaust pipe was punctured/torn. my question is, is this fixable, or do i have to replace it?

youe gonna have to replace it since its on the flex section.it might just end up getting bigger since that an area that has a lot of movements.

You may just be able to have a muffler shop cut just the flex section out and weld in a new one... dunno.

Cut and weld a 3" or your idea you mentioned to at the shop sounds good too.
