Basically right now... Al Davis... It all starts there.
Al is the puppet master. All he wants are the biggest and fastest players (no other skill required) and a puppet (coach) to implement an outdated playbook.

It's really sad, especially for people who buy tickets each year thinking "maybe this year they'll turn it around".

If Andy Reid would have pulled his head out of his *** and ran the damn ball, the Eagles probably would have won that game. 53 pass plays, 12 rushes. 6 of those were by Westbrook for 50 yds. He was averaging a little over 7 yds a carry. Run the ball more you fat bastard. Donovan does not perform well under pressure.

Congrats to the Raiders for figuring out that blitzing the **** out of the Eagles would expose all their weaknesses.

What's weird is Oakland NEVER blitzes. Why they decided yesterday was the day is beyond me. I really wish they would do it more often.

I don't think they need to do it all the time, but at least change it up. They're basic man coverage scheme isn't fooling anybody. Especially when Johnson gets beat deep all the time.

They started blitzing when peters, the eagles starting right? tackle, got hurt. They knew that side would be weak and they exploited it. Russell was still horrible though

Russel needs to be slap chopped. Plane and simple.

Either that, or he needs Kyle Orton to show him how to grow a sweet mustache.

Russell needs to be benched. I=He is going get paid either way. The only throws he can make are down the middle of the field and no more than 20 yds and he still misses sometimes. But the mustache is the key to success.

Bottom line... the raiders won because andy reid is an idiot.

How do you not run one of the best RB's around against one of the worst run defenses around? 6 carries for 50 Yards???? 9 catches for 91 yards. How does a guy getting that much success only get the ball 15 times? I mean 141 yards on 15 touches... damn near 10 yards every time he touches it. WAY WAY WAY too many drop back passes.

The eagles are not a drop back team. Don't have the line for it and don't have the recievers for it. Hell very few teams do... talking like 3 of them.

Need to mix the run better and do more designed roll outs and even wildcat. Westbrook has always been a decent throwing RB.

Idiots. No way they should look like they are looking. NO way. Andy Reid needs to take the blame. This isn't all on McNabb either. Just because they had a couple games with success throwing doesn't mean you can keep doing it. They don't have Moss and Welker or the O line needed to be predictable.

good for the Raiders but don't look for hope in it. They're still no where near where they should be.

I still laugh at the fact they traded a first round pick for Seymour. Sure they get a great player... in a season that is wasteful. =P

Yeah no kidding. They get a player that for this season will kill it an increase his value on the free agent market. He'll go to the highest bidder which won't be the Raiders and the Raiders will loose another building block for the future which they need more.

Idiots. We're fortunate I guess that the redskins and lions exist.

I think they were blitzing from the start.

they continued and i think they blitzed more often once he went out. I think they did 3 out of the 4 next plays, i was very drunk so i might be wrong, which is obviously a lot for the raiders since al davis doesn't believe in it. The same way he doesn't believe in realizing the game has changed in the last 30 years.
