did the guy go to the school dance on his bike? The only part I really remember from that movie is the big race at the end and when he was traing to do the back flip and he was using a mattress as a landing pad (I think that's how it went). Been looking for this movie on DVD so I can add it to my 80's collection. Found "Breakin"on DVD and "Berry Gordon's The Last Dragon"

I'm +1 on the geek factor....saw it in the theater. Cool movie, and hearing about it again brings back a lot of good memories!

oh, and Jose Yanez did them flips on a HUTCH Trickstar! I wish I still had mine! Dang you, Mom & Goodwill!?

This'll be my sales pitch, haha:

If you buy this, you'll have a sweet bike. And you're really good at hooking up with chicks. Plus you're like the only guy at school who has a mustache.
I have the neon green 1986 Haro Master.

Mine is black/red/chrome. I stripped the paint on the top tubes so more chrome would show. That way I could step on the tubes with out worrying about wearing the paint thin.

DAYMMMMM! that movie is old school! I liked the BMX park where the final race of the movie was held, with all the crazy obstacles and ramps.....cool movie......reminds me of the Skateboarding flick from around the same era "gleaming the cube." Remember that one too? LOL

Gleaming the cube was cool, but the real skater movies back then like....Bones Brigade, Search for Animal chin, etc were better IMO. hahahha

Oh man, the name HUTCH brings back so many memories. I was a total wheeler and dealer when i was a little kid - i traded my dyno and a GT for a stolen redline, traded that for a neon green haro, then traded that for a tiny racing MANTIS - then sold that and bought a HUTCH. good days.
