I want to get some practice in before going to a track day. (ie: need to warm up and get a feel for my WRX after putting Eagle F1s on them and a couple other HP boosting mods).

But I don't want to pay $70 for an SCCA membership just so I'm allowed to go (and pay another $25) to an SFRSCCA autocross.

Anybody know where I can get some (inexpensive & legal) practice in the Bay Area (not Sacto, not Monterey...too far) in April or May?

go to SCCA events early. They usually give the first 5 non-member ppl to run that day. just make sure u know someone who is a member, so he/she could sponsor u.

I went to a car control clinic through them and it was a great experience. You don't have to have a bimmer or any experience to go.

 

If you bought your WRX brand new, you usually get a free year SCCA membership.
