Race ramps/rhino ramps?

Anyone own these? I'm thinking about ordering a set for oil changes and whatnot under the front of the car. Only thing is I thought the car had to be level for the oil to completely drain?

It should be fine using rhino ramps. I've used rhino ramps, as well as everyone else in my family, for oil changes for as long as I can remember. If you want to change your oil on a flat surface you're going to either need a lift or put all four corners of the car on jack stands. Even then, there would still be some old oil left.

You'll never get all of the oil out of the motor anyways. The little crevasses in the block/head will hold pools of oil. You could always measure what comes outta the motor, when you do the rhino ramps. Then compare to the oil you initially put into the car.

except for the oil consumption that occurs I have to add a little more after 1500 miles or so

It's negligible, how much oil will be in the car when slightly tilted.

I'd be more worried about, if your car was lowered, will you be able to get up the ramps.

I use ramps for my oil changes. Drive up, plenty of room to flip my fumoto valve and replace the filter.

This..

My car is lowered, not slammed and i cant drive up my ramps with my front bumper attached. if i remove the bumper it makes it up, removing the front bumper is quick and easy. There are videos online that show you how to make home made extensions so you dont have to remove the front bumper.

I just put the ramps at the edge of the garage so i get a bit of assistance. I'm decently low not horribly though

I use ramps as well, they're pretty handy. To get the car level after driving up on the ramps I just use a jack under the rear differential, takes an extra few seconds but gets a little more oil out.

+1 for fumoto /w the nipple. Drain it by just jacking up the front than level the car on a slope and drain what ever is left inside.
