Looking to trade someone my 07 tails for his 02 tails but I wanted to make sure that they fit perfectly without any kind of weird gaps or anything. The reason I ask is because the 02-03 tails didn't have the round bottom section like the 04-07 tails do. That wont make a diff will it?


I know someone has the answer, and thank you in advance for it!




EDIT: Crap, just went out to the garage to look at the back of my car and there is an indentation on the bumper where the said round part of the light sits in, which means the 02-03 tails wont fit unless we swap bumpers!!! Dammit!


On that note, anyone want to trade their 04-05 tails for a set of 06-07 tails that are almost brand new (came off a 2007 STi), no scratches or anything. Ever since I got the red mudflaps I wanted some tails that contain more red.

If I can't find anyone I guess I'll open up my tails and paint them or something. If someone has some tails that they want to trade, I'll trade you and buy you lunch! I know a lot of people really like the 07 tails, so there's gotta be someone out there who wants to trade!

 

PS: If someone wants to trade there 04-05 tails for my 07 tails, I'll throw in $50 to you on top of the trade.

Again, my tails are just like brand new, and I'll even help you swap them... I have all the tools and stuff. PLEASE SOMEONE!

If the bugeye tails will fit, I have mine up for a trade. Mine has been off the car since the car had around 18-20k miles. They are mint. The previous owner put in a set of aftermarket tails which I don't mind the look. I have them just sitting around in the garage so if you find out they don't fit, I don't mind trading them back. Just PM me.

 

yeah, those circles dip into the bumper about an inch, the 02-03s should fit but yull have a empty little half circle there

 

Yeah, it sucks... I can't deal with the the circle gap, it'd drive me NUTS!




Ever since I got my red mud flaps Ive been itching to get more red into my tail lights.

 

Change your rear bumper cover, too.

 

ive seen new looking, like brighter and clearer but not the alteza stlye 02-03 lights on xtralights.com.

 

rumor has it 04-07 tails should fit a bugeye. from what ive read there should be a minor gap because you remove the backing piece behind the "half circle" so it goes in front of the rear bumper. No need to change bumper. 02-03's on a 2004+...i dont know

 

if budget allows for it, then you may consider just buying the new.

as someone else mentioned, they're pretty hard to come by used. people usually jump on them quick, but when available, i see them see outright for ~$150-$200. not sure about $+trades...
