no not the whooshing sound, unless it is supposed to go "wooooooosssshhh... (high boost) crrrckkkshhhhh... (let off)woooshhh". If it is supposed to sound like that well... ****. So either

a)i'm a dumbass that never realized that before my tune
or
b)something is wrong/loose with/on my car.

 

i believe your just hearing the turbo more.

You are correct, we CANNOT e-diagnose a car. LIC is in your backyard, and Adam and Noah KNOW THEIR ****!!! Go see them.

 

thanks ruehl. He went along and heard the noise... i'm assuming it isn't detonation or ping he didn't believe so either, but it didn't sound 'normal'. there is no loss of power... in fact it ran very very strong today (cruised out to the beach). I'll take it in soon enough. Thanks for all the suggestions/info if you have more let me know.

 

at full boost or wot for me my turbo whine gets significantly louder and it sounds like i have an ewg...ahq said its most likely just an old turbo needed to be replaced...ive got about 85k so i wouldnt be surprised if i needed a new turbo

 

hmm interesting... thanks for the input! My girlfriend heard the noise (after I pointed it out to her <shes oblivious to anything relating to a cars>) Then I proceeded to ask her where it came from, and she said "i felt it/heard it under me" (she was in passenger seat)... right around the turbo area.... makes me wonder.
