is there anywhere in the bay area that sells surplus ammo? i know there are websites... but i want my 300round ammo box NOW!
edit: new question.... so i've been reading about the gun that i just bought (mosin nagant m44) and people are saying that i should check the headspacing+clean the thing before i fire it... but i need a tool for that... does anyone have a headspacing gauge tool that i can barrow... or use? THANKS

you want to go to the show where MIWALL shows up at:
http://www.miwallcorp.com/schedule/
unfortunately, the next one for cow palace is september...
you can try their other shows in calif. call them up like 2-3 weeks before, ESPECIALLY if you are buying tons of stuff for them.
reason is, they usually run out of the good stuff the first couple hours of the weekend (say the shows run on sat and sun...).
that way you reserve the stuff.
otherwise, buy online.

dude...
if it IS for an AK... just get the cheapest crap you can buy like WOLF ammo.
traders in san leandro might still have that stuff there.
just remember to pick up after yourself if you are shooting in the middle of nowhere (or BLM land/etc...)

I did spot cases of .223 green, and I know they stock russian steel case 7.62X39 (Note, almost all of it comes from the same place, wolf/bear/cis all made in ex military plants, all steel case, laminated, HP or FMJ).
Hey if anyone spots foccitchi(sp) .32 auto ammo, 71 grain, HP or FMJ let me know, I can't find anyone stocking it, and its all my colt 1903's will fire with reliablity.
