Another thing to look out for, if you do wind up getting involved, you still need to look after yourself.

People stuggling with addictions have little or no regard for anyone else and can be a real drain on anyone trying to help out, so do what you can but recognize at some point you might have to let go and get on with your own life.

Good luck man, that's a really tough position to be in.

Meth is definitely the worst track to be on... I have a friend that was sent to rehab after accidentally smoking meth (he thought it was somethin else).....
keep in mind, that isn't always depression that causes avid meth use... one time is REALLY all it takes with meth..... in all honesty, i can't think of 1 drug that is known to be more addictive.....
i'm so hesitant to give suggestions because anything you do can be the wrong thing to do... you never really know... all i would say is to tred very carefully....
and I wish you the best of luck.

Why did he go to the degobah system? Is that were he was from? I dont get it.

Uhg, this is such a familiar subject....I've lost about 50% of the kids i know to crap like this...

Ultimately there isnt much you can do without them resenting you, because they will always remember themselves as being happier while on the drug - i mean, thats why they keep coming back to it. ****, i've had hardcore problems with it - not meth, painkillers - and eventually i was able to quit, but not without help and not without hating everyone around me, and not without the use of prescribed drugs to help fill the hole the painkillers left.

This dude needs insurance, and he needs someone to kick his *** into shape - but you can't expect someone to do that for you, because in the end he has to understand that he is doing it for himself.
I don't personally beleive that without something DRASTIC happening, he's going to be able to quit the meth. The withdrawl symptomes alone are probably enough incentive not to quit, and if he has nobody else but himself to live for, then he probably wont quit. I hope you can persuade him otherwise - just plant the seed - but also try not to be hurt or suprised if he tells you to **** off. Good luck.

^ sucks but everything he said i so ****ing true!

everytime i try'd to help, it just made it wrose... he told me so many time to go **** myself, leave him alone, its his life, and blah blah blah but one thing i never did was tell him what he wanted to hear, till this day i tell him "ive always been here, my # hasnt changed, and neither have i, ill always be here bro"

maybe one day hell take me up on that offer but knowing how pridefull he is i have little hope for that
