Hey since I'm in switzerland I'm not using my computer, I'm using my girlfriend's. I forgot the disc at home for my camera. I was wondering what programs I need to download from their site so I can import pictures. I have a canon eos dslr rebel xt.
Thanks!
Thanks!
import into what?
if you are shooting with jpeg, nothing really much.
you just need the capability on the machine to read the media.
if you are shooting raw, yu can try various freebie readers out there or even shareware stuff...

nerd you shouldn't need the software.. you have the usb cable? Just plug that in and goto "my computer" and the camera should be there, double click it and all ur pics should be on there.. i have a canon and that's what i do!

you must not shoot in raw though because it won't work with that...
Either way RAW or not I still have to install a driver before I can pull up my 20D in "My Computer" on a new XP machine.
You can download this off Canon's website. Had the same thing happen in Sweden this past July.

stupid Canon, i was able to read my Nikon D70 straight from a cable...i had to buy a CF card reader for my Canon 20D (for sale $440)
i'd rather buy a $20 card reader than mess with any software
