I just found out from my wife what happend. We are relieved that your Mom is o.k..
These type of people that commit these crimes should be disposed of!
Aya, I'll talk to my friends at O.P.D. and If you want, my Sifu from Alameda Sheriff's Office can call your Mom and talk to her.
Give me a call if you need any help.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!! I have been keeping an eye out to see if any strange men are standing on the corner late at night (from the safety of my balcony, of course). I'd be the first one to call the cops if I see anything suspicious.
I'm going in with my mom this afternoon to OPD to report additional items. Seems that her DL and one checkbook was "found" in SF and was returned by some white guy. Don't know what the possiblities are of them fingerprinting the items but who knows? Maybe we'll get lucky.
Ray - thanks! I think if my mom was able to communicate to an officer or your sifu (cantonese speaking), it would be better than me trying to tell her how to be "safer". You know how Asian parents are.

The story behind my Sifu's nick name: He doesn't believe in soft heavy bags. All of his are filled with steel ball bearings. At his home, he has a 13" diameter log wrapped with 1" rope as his heavy bag/ conditioning post.
I have worked with him and have seen him kick a suspect on the thigh and he snapped it like a twig.
Also, he was a cop in Honk Kong too and his wife is Master Gini Lau (Eagle Claw Kung Fu)!
