Pulled over for power slide (not on purpose)
Ok so I was driving in Santa Clara on El Camino. I went to make a wide U turn at the light when my car suddenly went into a drift style power slide. I was actually impressed on how the AWD kicked in and I had full control and I corrected with little effort. Well after all that with my heart kinda pounding lol I see the red and blue lights on my tail, right away I knew why. The officer then asked me for all my paper and asked me what was I thinking?? And that I was drifting and he could tow me for reckless driving. I explained to him that I did not do this on purpose I mean I had my 7 year old daughter with me for crying out loud. He was real professional imo and after 15min of explaining and the inside of my car getting soaked he let me go with a be safe and asked me about my car and he said it looked like from where he was that I drifted nicely lol and asked if subaru was a fun/safe car because his 19yr old daughter wanted a mustang and he said "umm yea she's getting one these" and asked if they have a 2011 model and told him yup. Anyway a real cool cop just doing his job. I have a question on why that happend...are my diffs acting up or something? Or just the wet road. (stock tires, front sways and a C pillar bar)

No, that is NOT your fault.
Seriously, the majority of the surface on El Camino is downright dangerous (well, the stuff that looks kinda "new"). Once it's wet, it is literally as slippery as ice. I have once seen several cars spin out during U-turns on El Camino Real during a rainstorm, it is very treacherous once it gets wet.

Not to give you a bunch of ****, but it is actually called defensive driving. The idea is that EVERY accident is avoidable if you are driving the correct speed for the conditions, and you are aware of your surroundings.
Glad that things worked out for the OP

few examples:
tboned at an intersection
tire blow out on the highway
black ice on a bridge (or anywhere for that matter)
rear ended at a stop light

This doesn't make sense... How fast were you going into the turn and how much power did you apply? You said it's an auto, did it downshift and hit boost? If it did you were probably applying too much throttle for a U-turn in the rain.

I had an auto WRX a few years ago and had almost the same thing happen to me- the back end stepped out pretty unexpectedly on a dry road, so I could see it being worse on a slick surface.
If I recall correctly the 4eat is front biased?
