the only thing cops are looking for are cold air intakes, since thats the #1 mod among honda boys. that and blingy bov's and headers. all the visible honda isht.

 

Actually, there is a san jose cop who is hot... She patrols Mt Hamilton of all places!!!

 

Are BOV's illegal? I have one.. Got pulled over, popped the hood!

When he said that my typhoon intake and BOV (Ex honda boy) are illegal, I replied that they were not.

I told him that I had bought the intake specifically because it was CARB legal. I must have forgotten to put the CARB sticker on the intake. He bought it!!! When he commented on the BOV, I told him that the BOV had nothing to do with emissions and was legal.

So, are they legal or not?

mcowger is def. not a cop. I don't particularly like guns. I am a sysadmin at a local college.

mcowger does, however, know many a LEO, and lives with a lawyer, and so thinks about these things alot.

As for the BOV - I can see hwo the cop mght think its illegal, given that it is somewhat on the intake side of the engine, but I'll have to read up on the CARB regulations to be able to tell.

I called the CHP and they gave me the run around and said that someone would call me back.

That was last year. I have yet to hear anything..
