PS3 Help (Red Screen)
I was wondering if any of you have encountered this issue yet. I just picked up a PS3 that has a red screen when you turn on the unit. The reason why I picked it up was to pull out the blueray drive for a buddies PS3. His PS3 was the last of the backward compatible units, this drive will not work in it. 
My idea is to try to get the newer PS3 up and running again if it doesn't take a lot of work. I have no problems with working on electronics.
Any ideas would be great.

tried rebooting it? ( holding it down for the first beep and continue to hol til the second beep from cold start ) change the HDD?
really, what were you doing, hacking it? Open it up for " something "?
