Prius Anonymous, Who else owns one?

Dont be ashamed...

I will go first.

Hello. My name is Irish_car_b0mb. And I own a prius.

My wife drives it but the first tank I spend over $70 she gets to drive the scoob and I have to drive the douche bag mobile.

$4.71/gal x 15/gals = 70.65 x wife˛ ± prius = Screwed.

The agreement many moons ago was as long as i stay under 70 for a tank I am good. What ever she saves goes into my gas tank. The minute I go over i lose commuting privilages and have to drive the prius.

I drive 75 miles round trip. She drives 9. I understand why but God I hate driving that thing. The "zippyness" can suck it. The only thing that is fun about it is watching when the electric motor and gas motor are working.

ANYWAY who else has one?

My wife works for the PD, my father in law works for the pd and if I tinted the front windows i would have to listen to how illegal it is to tint the front until i took the damn thing off. NOt worth the *****ing.

As far as why I am embarrased. Its not the mpg that embarrases me. Have you seen what they look like? What is your first thought of the person driving a prius....................... Point proven. Thank you very much.

p.s. I dont like much thinking my car died at every intersection either. The engine shuts off when it isnt moving for more than 6 seconds. Still havent gotten used to that crap either.

Plus in my wrx my back windows are blacked the F out. You cant see the car seat and crap in my back seat. plus i am rocking a sick *** wrx car seat.

My wife has the fru fru eddie bauer car seat with baby einstein crap taking over the majority of the car. looks like i am driving with a circus in the back seat.

And as far as me tinting the rex. If my father in law or wife wanna take over the $457/ month car payment i would be more than happy to take off the 35% on the front windows. BUt i pay that ish so they cant say ish.

well soon i am sure a lot of people are gonna be driving them or scooters hehe.. personally i would rather be in a prius than on a scooter. Just think all the money you could save driving it you could get some mods for the wrx

i would only be ashamed because the majority of prius owners drive like they own the road. do you really need to go 60 in the fast lane?

i drive 80 thats why the wifey can avg about 54.1 miles i am lucky if i get it over 40. i mob it. and i mob it hard. i do 0-80 as fast as it can go. its wierd though. no shift shocks. it goes all the way to 80 in one smooth accel. almosy like it only has one gear. i cant remember what hey call that type of tranny but i know they did it to a few lexus as well.

i am pry the only person that can get bad mpg in a prius.

They have a weird planetary gear (gear not gears)... My mom has a prius... I have been making lots of trips from the bay area to Chico (220 miles) and every car I have taken on that trip has given me some kind of problem (three cars within 9 months) so on my lates trip she made me take the prius. If the prius broke from some reason then we would know it is a problem with me and not the cars... Needless to say I was not gentle to the prius... I took the whole trip averaging about 90mph in 100+ degree weather with the AC blasting... No problems ... I tried to kill it and it wouldn't DIE!!!

Perhaps its the fact he has done twice the dammage to the enviroment by buying a prius, than he would have with a 1982 toyota. Just in chemicals and resorces alone for the batteries brings the total dammage done to above what a stock WRX will do in 5 years of its life on the road.

Or... perhaps he knows its a hippie car and marks him as a purse carrying wuss for driving one

CVT, it works on two "cones" and a belt. One cone moves in and out, thereby making the transmission "gear ratio" change in a smooth flow. Its why you can be doing 90 and still only at 2000rpm in one. The dowside is they don't handle lots of power, and they wear out faster than a gear driven transmission.
