I was wondering about the tranny... Figures he has to run an automatic to deal with all that power.

Actually I have been informed that they imported a stock USDM tranny for that run, see the wheel hop and smoke as it grabs the smoke is the remains of first gear exiting..

According to the website, its an auto with a high stall convertor. Chances are its fully built. But it's still an auto.

I showed that video to one of my friends and he asked why the hell he was running an auto, "Aren't autos slower?!?!?" I said:
"Look it's like this. Having a car with an automatic transmission is like cutting off your cars left nut, when you only have average sized ***** (stock horsepower) this can be devistating. But when you have cajones the size of large boulders (something like stock horsepower multiplied by 3) it's more of a relief to lose a nut than a handicapp..."

If this was not a joke, which I still assume it was... Please explain to me why the hell they would use a STOCK USDM tranny? I mean come on now... It's not geared as well as it could be for dragging, it is likely to explode before the end of the track, it's slower shifting than many alternatives and with that much power would make for an impossible launch... If he really did want to use a manual tranny for that run I'm quite sure he'd find a better alternative than the US tranny...
