When I had anodized lugs I put a plastic grocery bag over your socket then put it on the lug.

Thomas, I have Work red ano lug nuts with locks. They're faded to STi pink ()and in great shape otherwise. I'll make you a deal if you're interested since you're local.

FYI, powdercoat is a bad idea on anything that will see tool use, for a few reasons. One, while it's strong and resistant to chipping, it's more likely to flake or eel up completely if it gets torn up at the edges, and it's a thicker coating, which can keep sockets/locks/keys, etc, from working properly. YMMV.

Ya ive heard of people just wrapping them in blue painters tape when taking them off.

ya, like what shade pink are they? Have any pics on them installed? From that pic they look a bit more purple/violet
